FAQ's

Providing this information is important to help you better understand our services and ensure a seamless experience with Ruth Grace Interiors

What should I expect within the first consultation?

This is your opportunity to meet with Ruth, discuss your requirements, ask any questions you may have, and explore how we can assist you.

One week before the meeting, you will receive an email detailing what to expect. Additionally, you will complete a Client Engagement Form beforehand, outlining your project requirements, budget, and other important details. This information will allow Ruth to thoroughly analyse and discuss your needs during the consultation.

How long will the initial consultation be?

Each consultation, regardless of the package, will be scheduled for up to 90 minutes.

What if I live outside of Rutland?

This is not a problem at all, we offer the convinience of meeting via Google Meet or even FaceTime! Projects located 25+ miles from Rutland, UK, there will be an additional charge which will cover travel expenses and potential accommodation costs. This will be calculated following the initial meeting.

Do you offer virtual design services?

Yes! The Joy package is fully virtual, visit the Services Page for further information. As stated within the package information, Joy is a package which is built to help inspire the client.

When am I expected to pay?

The initial consultation is provided at no charge, whether conducted virtually or in person within a 25-mile radius of LE15. Within three days following this initial consultation, you will receive a follow-up email containing a client letter outlining all cost details and providing expectations regarding payment for the selected package. Please note, no work will commence until an initial payment is received.

How often will you be in contact?

The frequency of updates and progress reports will depend on the package you choose and the specific requirements of your space. We can schedule bi-weekly virtual calls, but this can also be adjusted to monthly calls based on your preference. Both the Grace and Sunshine packages include in-person visits, which will be arranged according to the needs of your space.

If you need to contact Ruth at any point during the process, please feel free to do so. Her contact information will be provided after the initial consultation. We view this as a partnership, so don't hesitate to reach out anytime; you can expect a response within 24 hours.

Do you need to see my space before work commences?

Upon initial interest / contact, it will be required for you to provide photos of the current space, both internal and external photos.

From this point onwards, for the Joy package, only photos are necessary since it's a virtual package. Having both internal and external photos provides a comprehensive view of the house or space's character.

For the Grace and Sunshine packages, the initial meeting can be conducted either virtually or in-person (should that be your space or somewhere in-between!)  After the initial meeting, it's then essential for Ruth to visit your space to proceed with further work.

Which days and times of the day are required for you to view my space?

Referring to the Grace and Sunshine packages - It is preferred to view the space during daylight hours as much as possible, since natural light enhances the true colours of materials and furnishings.

Visiting your space in the evening is also beneficial to evaluate artificial lighting solutions, ensuring optimal illumination levels and ambiance after sunset. Observing the space at night provides insights into how it functions and feels during evening hours, helping to tailor the design to accommodate different lighting conditions and activities. Evening visits may reveal any deficiencies in lighting design or potential safety concerns, allowing for adjustments to enhance functionality and comfort after dark.

What if I have a small budget?

Ruths goal is to help bring your vision to life within your budget, whatever it may be. We'd just ask that we keep things realistic so we can find items that are within reach. We'll explore options from a variety of interior brands, ranging from high street to mid-range to high-end, and even some independent brands.

Is it my responsibility to pay for items?

Managing payments for items is the clients responsibility, unless there is a Trade account set up already with Ruth Grace Interiors. This will be discussed within the process.
